daughter Noel Marcus, a daughter and son in law, Tasha &
Tyler Scroggs and one grandson, Easton Scroggs. God called
Pastor Marcus to salvation at the age of 21and soon after
that into the Gospel ministry. At the age of 25, he began
his first pastorate at Swamp Creek Baptist Church, in
Dalton, GA. After serving at Swamp Creek for five and a half
years, the Lord led him to Toms Creek Baptist Church in
1998. It has been his distinct honor to serve this great
Church for the last ten years of his ministry through which
God has allowed us to be apart of some exciting times. Rev.
Wayne Marcus is currently pursuing a Masters Degree from
Covington Theological Seminary and hoping the Lord comes
back before he finishes it.

still live. Shawn is an ordained Southern Baptist Minister.
He has been in ministry for 15 years. He served as an
Evangelism Pastor in Nashville, TN doing street ministry to
the homeless and sidewalk Sunday school for children and
food distribution to the needy before he was called to go to
school at Lee University. After receiving his bachelor
degree in Bible and Theology he became the Children’s
minister of the Cohutta First Baptist Church. He then went
on to plant the New Covenant Baptist Church, a rural
congregation, along with his father-in-law Mike Little Just
outside of Cohutta in the Mount Pleasant Community. After a
turn of events he moved to Portland, TN and became the
pastor of the Oak Street Baptist Church. From there he is
now here at Tom’s Creek.
- Chris Thomas, Minister of Music

- God called Chris into the Music Ministry several years
before he would give in and answer that call. He kept
turning God down with the excuse of not being qualified for
the job; until the day someone reminded Chris, God doesn't
always call those that are qualified, but yet he always
qualifies those that are called. Chris loves the Lord and
loves serving him as the Minister of Music & Outreach at
Tom's Creek Baptist Church along with his wife Kathy and
their two girls Kristin & Kathryn.

be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them
that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good
things!” Romans 10:15 (KJV)/span>
