What Is Girls in Action(GA)?

GA is a comprehensive missions education program, for girls in grades 1-6, which includes praying for missions, engaging in missions action and witness, learning about missions, developing spiritually toward a missions lifestyle, participating in the work of the church and denomination, and supporting missions.

Through participation in GA, girls grow in their knowledge, understanding, and application of the Bible. They also learn from the example of missionaries, believers, and hands-on mission action what it means to actively engage in ministering to others with the compassion of Christ. While doing this girls also earn badges throughout the year .And throughout the year we have scrap booking during class and make a memorable scrapbook for the girls to treasure forever.

The Value of Teaching Missions Education through GA
GA is sound Baptist doctrine that supports Baptist missions.
GA teaches girls the Bible and how to apply the Bible through missions action and witnessing.
Girls learn how to pray as they engage in intercessory prayer for missionaries, ministries, people groups, and their own church and communities.
Girls support missions and learn the value of tithing and cooperative giving.
Girls grow spiritually as they learn Scripture, memorize Scripture, and actively live out Scripture through missions involvement.
Girls live out the Great Commission as they witness to people and care for the needs of others
Girls learn that they have a part in God's plan.
Girls learn how God is working in the world as they hear the stories from the missions fields.
A foundation of faith is laid and supported as girls develop spiritually toward a missions lifestyle through Scripture learning and application
The Girls in Action Creed
GA Motto: "Go Forward!"
GA Pledge: "As a GA, I will do my best to live a missions lifestyle that honors God by learning about missions, praying for missions, giving to missions, doing missions, and participating in the work of the church."
GA Scripture Verse: "Give thanks to the Lord. Worship him. Tell the nations what he has done. Announce how honored he is" (Isaiah 12:4NIrV).
GA Lifestyle Verse: "The Lord has shown you what is good. He has told you what he requires of you. You must treat people fairly. You must love others faithfully. And you must be very careful to live the way your God wants you to" (Micah 6:8 NIrV).

It would be a privilege to have your child enrolled in our Girls in Action program. The theme this year is Action! (as in "lights, camera, action!").

Girls will "travel the globe" to make a documentary. They will learn about the needs-both physical and spiritual-of different peoples and their cultures. GAs will document how missionaries and believers are ministering to people and sharing God’s love.

Your child will also have the opportunities to participate in active missions outreach.
