A word from our Pastor
"Whatsoever thy hand findeth to do, do it with thy might; for there is no work, nor device, nor knowledge, nor wisdom, in the grave, wither thou goest." Ecclesiastes 9: 10"As long as it is day, we must do the work of Him who sent Me. Night is coming when no one can work." -Jesus
If you listen closely you can hear the sound of time fleeing away from us, it may sound like the ticking of a watch, or the chiming of a clock, but if you listen, or look you can see that time is not standing still. When we look around we see it everywhere, babies that have turned into young adults, cars that were once new and shiny are now outdated and worn. Nothing stands still and nothing stays the same, time affects everything. Yes, I said everything even us, each day of our life is spent or invested in something, if we will consider the truth we have to admit that even our life on earth is quickly passing by. Therefore it behooves us to do as the previous scripture teaches and do all that we find to do with all of our might; there is coming a day when we don’t have the strength, energy or time to do what needs to be done. As Charles Spurgeon said, “If you cut your works open and cannot find your heart in them, they are good for nothing, and their objective shall never be accomplished.” So how about it, will you join me in committing to serve the Lord with all of your heart, soul and might?
