G-Force
This is our Wednesday night Summer Program. RA's & GA's come to a close at the end of May and we will begin a new program dedicated to help children experience God at full throttle. The program will start at 7:00 and end at 8:30. There are four segments to the G-force ministry: Ignition – group games, Velocity – interactive drama time, Power-cel - Small group bible study, Reentry – wrap up session using drama. Take all this and throw in a snack along the way any you’ve got a recipe for a great Wednesday night summer children’s ministry.
Children's Church
The Children’s Church hour here at Tom’s Creek Baptist Church is an exciting worship experience for children. We use puppets, crafts, music, and Bible memory games to plant the word of God in the hearts of children and lead them to Christ. We meet during the church hour at 10:30 AM Sunday morning. We have three different ministry age groups for Children’s Church. Each one is set up with a structure that is conducive to fun and learning.
Toddle Time
This is our two to four year old class. In this class we use, Betty Lukens, Through the Bible in Felt to make the Bible stories come to life for the children. Toddle Time meets in room 315.
Kinder Kare
We are ministering to kindergarteners in this class with Through the Bible in Felt by Betty Lukens. We have songs and puppet time, and then we move into our Bible Study time.
Kid's Koner
This part of children's church is for children 1st through the 5th grade. The Children named their self "Kid’s Korner". Kid’s Korner is their own children's church time. This is an interactive ministry time during which we have a worship rally using songs and puppets, a craft time which the children make a craft relevant to the days Bible study, a Bible study time using Group Publisher's Kid’s Own Worship, and a Bible memorization time in which we teach a Bible verse for the day and basic Bible skills.
Nursery Ministry
Our nursery ministry here at Tom's Creek Baptist Church is a learning experience. Children come in during all our regularly scheduled services and enjoy a newly renovated nursery with all the enmities complete with a separate bed baby room and hand washing station separate bathroom with a little people's potty, a kitchenette, television (wired to the main service for our volunteers and for playing children’s films), CD players, learning\play areas, and cubbies for each child for their personal belongings. Safety is a concern for all parents leaving their children with people other than their family. So, we take precautions to protect the children. Here at Tom's Creek we require all children’s workers to take a criminal background check. Another safety measure we have in place is parental sign in and out. Parents will sign in children at the sign in desk and take a pager with them to class. If any problems arise we can communicate with you throughout the services. When you come back to the nursery we trade a pager for your child. We do provide a snack of different foods consisting of gold fish, animal crackers and juice. If your child has any allergies we keep up with those using special allergies alert stickers. Please let us know about any special needs your child has we gladly accommodate all children. During Sunday school the children in the nursery are learning a Bible lesson just like the big kids. We have puzzles, Bible lesson and a snack time. We keep the little ones on the same structured routine as the big kids to prepare them for the next level. They have their own Sunday school teacher who remains the same each week.
